Who signs?
Signed in order by: the Defence Deanery, the GPStR, the Educational Supervisor and the host Deanery. The SLA is sent to GPStR who forwards to practice. The practice returns the SLA to the Defence Deanery, who forward it to the host Deanery with a request that this is returned.

Who has copies?
Final copy is retained by Defence Deanery but copies can be taken at each stage as required.

How do Trainees go on the Performers list?
The letter accompanying the SLA, sent to GPStR, advises the GPStR to make contact with the practice to arrange a visit & to arrange being added to the Performers List. This should be done asap as it can take 8 - 12 weeks for GPStRs to be added to the list.

When to make contact prior to placement
As above

Is it possible for the Trainee to visit the Practice prior to placement?
This is encouraged. See above.

Is there an equivalent Educational Agreement, opposed to a job description?
The responsibilities of each stakeholder are set out in the SLA. The practice may wish to agree an "honorary contract" with the GPStR.
