What are the entitlements/how many days?
30 days within 12 month training period.
Are there specific mandatory Military training days?
Highlands & Islands Course (5 days) must be attended twice every 18 months during the GP element of training
Who approves courses?
Courses are approved by the Director of Postgraduate GP Education
What is the application process?
GPStRs must apply for courses in advance via an External Application Form. This must be signed by the Educational Supervisor and forwarded to the Defence Deanery for approval. If there is not time to submit an application prior to the course, the GPStRs must telephone the Director of Postgraduate GP Education to seek approval BEFORE attending the course and then submit the application form immediately.
How much is the study leave budget per trainee?
No there is not a specific budget and courses are considered on a case by case basis
