Bradford-on-Avon Health Centre and All Saints surgeries have now merged to provide an experienced and enthusiastic group of trainers working across three sites, allowing trainees to have a wide range of training experiences. The Health Centre is situated in the centre of the beautiful historic market town of Bradford-on-Avon, 6 miles from Bath. We pride ourselves in offering top quality patient-centred primary care services and achieve maximum points on all quality indicators and patient satisfaction surveys. It is a busy Practice with a wide range of expertise amongst the 10 medical partners and 2 assistants, several of whom have been registrars at the Practice. The whole team is committed to training and over 20 years have achieved 100% success at the MRCGP, with many trainees being awarded Distinctions. We have the full range of Primary Care Services with nurse practitioners, specialist nurses, district nurses, health visitors, midwives, physiotherapists and mental health workers fully integrated within the team. We run a clinical trials unit, an occupational health service and a dental practice from the premises as well as a complementary medical service nearby. We also regularly attend three private schools in the Bath area, advising on sports and adolescent medicine. At Winsley Health Centre, trainees can experience a rural dispensing Practice. This small friendly surgery also services the Avon Park Care Village with 250 residents across the whole spectrum of elderly care. St Damian’s surgery in Melksham is small but soon to move to new purpose-built premises to allow expansion and will be rebranded as Melksham Health Centre. This surgery allows trainees to experience a more diverse population with areas of deprivation and associated medical and social problems. As trainers, we are a friendly enthusiastic group and can guarantee our trainees an enjoyable attachment with a broad educational experience. Trainers: Practice Managers: |
