Batheaston Medical Centre Tel: 01225 858686 (Enquiries) Trainers: Website: www.batheastonmedicalcentre.com Batheaston Medical Centre is a long established Bath Practice, which takes pride in providing a high quality patient-centred service to a friendly semi rural population, and is within easy reach of the bright lights of Bath! We work from a modern building which was extended in 1999, providing much needed space for the expanding Primary Health Care Team and diverse community services. The Practice has four Partners, an Assistant and a Retainer. There are two specialist Nurses and one Treatment Room Nurse aided by three Health Care Assistants, several District Nurses, two Health Visitors and a helpful administrative team. We also host visiting physiotherapists, counsellors, a podiatrist, and an osteopath. We routinely achieve top QUOF scores and are an accredited practice for the Primary Care Research Network. We have been a pilot site for various IT innovations. Training Practice Our Trainers are Karen Prees & Cathy Wernham, who job share the role, providing trainees with the benefit of well coordinated training which draws on their differing strengths. Karen works within the team running the Half Day Release Course for the Bath VTS, and was also the primary instigator of the locally famous CSA preparation evenings! As a Training Practice we set great store on education, not only for our Registrar, the ST1s and ST2s with whom we are now closely linked, and the FY2 doctors, but also for our Nurses and our Administrative team.
